ATC Services

Innovative Health Care Services

ATC aims to provide a robust healthcare system to Gambians by providing them with innovative care from doctors or specialists locally and abroad which will eventually eliminate the need for healthcare tourism.

Recent developments in mobile collaboration technology can allow healthcare professionals in multiple locations to share information and discuss patient issues as if they were together in the same place. ATC utilizes a remote patient monitoring program through mobile technology that reduces the need for frequent outpatient visits, enable remote prescription verification, and provide drug administration oversight, with the potential for significantly reducing the overall cost of medical care. Telemedicine facilitates medical education by allowing workers to observe experts in their fields and share best practices more easily.

ATC also deploys electronic consultations through interactive telemedicine services which provide real-time interactions between patient and provider through strategic partnerships with American partners including RPM Logix, AMD Global Telemedicine, and EKO Health. Activities such as history review, physical examination, and cardiovascular assessments are able to be conducted comparably to those done in traditional face to-face visits.

As part of our population health focus, ATC provides chronic care management and annual wellness visit outcomes are tracked and reported.

Our devices are cell-enabled as they do not require WiFi or Bluetooth, making them readily accessible to everyone. The device readings are streamed to the cloud via digital technologies and accessed by our team in the USA within seconds after being recorded.

Outpatient Services

ATC offers Outpatient care which involves medical services provided that do not require a prolonged stay at a facility. Outpatient services can be anything from lab tests, bloodwork, minor surgeries, mammograms, consultations or follow-ups with a specialist, routine physical exams, to X-rays, and other types of imaging.

Radiology & Laboratory Diagnostics

ATC provides comprehensive diagnostics including Mobile X-rays, Electrocardiograms, Echocardiography, Ultrasounds and Mammograms. Other Laboratory diagnostics include Hematology, Biochemistry, Immunochemistry and Parasitology services as well as point-of-service laboratory tests like blood, urine, and DNA analysis.

Heart Failure Clinic

ATC features a heart failure clinic that will perform outpatient surgical procedures including cardiac catheterization and pacemaker implantation, while making services affordable and accessible to everyone.

Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM)

Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) has grown exponentially in the United States of America and much of Western Europe since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020. Under this program, ATC furnishes a nurse staffed care team that imparts evidence-based care plans, motivational interviewing, coaching and education to enable patients to improve their chronic conditions.

Diagnostic Imaging & Telehealth Center

ATC provides a new standard of healthcare to the citizens throughout Gambia ATC through our diagnostic imaging and telehealth center. The center focuses on the treatment and prevention of diabetes, hypertension and other cardiovascular diseases and medical conditions that are prevalent throughout Gambia, as well as breast cancer screenings and lab analysis.

The center is manned by trained medical personnel including local physicians and nurses from Gambia. ATC medical personnel take medical histories, perform physical examinations, conduct diagnostic studies, and make correct, decisive decisions regarding disease management. Aside from the initial aforementioned services, our center also provides pulmonary function testing, echocardiography, and ultrasounds.

Certified Diabetes Educators

ATC also provides certified diabetes educators and registered dietitians for diabetes prevention and cardiometabolic weight loss and patients will be provided with weight scales and glucometers.

What is Telemedicine?

Telemedicine is the use of telecommunication and information technology to provide clinical health care from afar. It has been used to overcome distance barriers and to improve access to medical services that would be consistently unavailable in rural areas or underdeveloped countries. These technologies permit communications between patient and medical staff with both convenience and fidelity, as well as the transmission of medical data and diagnostic imaging from one site to another instantaneously.
